Abstract

Comparative trial of two minimally invasive approaches for pulmonary lobectomies lasted from 2013 to 2017. The results of surgical treatment of 104 patients with localized single-sided pulmonary tuberculosis were studied. Robot-assisted approach was used in 71 cases, video- assisted access - in 33 cases. The incidence of major postoperative complications was registered in 14% and13% cases respectively. Bacteriological status had no influence on postoperative period. It was revealed that the presence of bullous changes and pleural thickening are risk factors for postoperative complications. Robot-assisted lobectomies characterized by a shorter operative time, less blood loss and lower incidence of pulmonary complications in comparison to the VATS lobectomy.
